COVID-19 Updates & Health Precautions

Along with each of you, we are saddened by the effect of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on our Seattle neighbors, local community and our extended global community. As a local and small business, we'd like to take a moment to let you know what we are doing to protect your health and the health of our team during this time.

We would like to reassure you that your health and the health of our team is our top priority. We uphold the highest standards in safety and hygiene in our local kitchen. Each of our team members is trained in all local food handling policies and hold a Washington State Food Handler's Permit. Our team has been trained on strictly adhering to all health and safety policies, with special attention to frequent hand washing and utilizing personal protective wear including gloves & masks to prevent contamination. We are committed to working closely with our local Health Department to stay up-to-date on any new safety recommendations or procedures.

-All reusable ice packs are being washed through our industrial dishwasher upon return which kills bacteria with high heat & sanitizer solution. 
-All of our delivery drivers are equipped with disposable gloves & will change gloves with each individual delivery drop.
-We utilize contact-less delivery methods - we drop the delivery at your door & text you once it has been delivered. 
-Our kitchen staff & production staff continue to utilize the highest health & safety precautions as outlined by the local Health Department. 

The Meal Plans

Each meal comes individually portioned for one person in a 100% compostable container. 

We do our best to work around all allergies and dislikes. After you add a program to your cart, list your allergies in the "Leave a note about your order" box, and we'll work around them in all of your meals. We want you to enjoy every bite.

*We work in a shared kitchen space where nuts, shellfish, gluten and dairy are processed. If you have a severe allergy, we don't recommend the program.

The primary purpose of our meals is to help you feel your best. We find that feeling your best often leads to looking your best too. We don’t describe our program as a diet plan, but many of our clients find that by sticking to Westerly meal delivery for all of their meals, they will naturally ditch unwanted pounds.

We believe in focusing on whole foods and healthy ingredients and filling your body with the right nutrients. Worrying about every single calorie can lead to inadequate nutrition, and an obsession with, in our opinion, the wrong priorities. Therefore, we don’t provide exact calorie counts for each meal, On average, our meals range from 450-650 calories.

Your meals arrive ready to enjoy! You can place your meal container directly into the microwave for 2-3 minutes, or transfer to another dish to heat in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Each meal is complete and balanced so you don’t need to add any other ingredients.

If you are looking for a Whole30 meal plan, we can definitely customize your meals to accomdate this! Just list that you'd like your meals to be Whole30 compliant in the notes section at checkout.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate the Keto Diet at this time.

Currently we don’t offer meals for Saturday and Sunday. Many of our clients order a few extra meals during the week to save for the weekend!

Yes! All of our meals are 100% gluten-free.

We do work in a shared commercial kitchen facility where gluten is present.

Our Plant-Based menu includes eggs and dairy. We can accommodate fully vegan preferences as well! Just write "vegan menu" in the notes during checkout, and we'll make sure all of your meals are completely vegan.

Ordering

The cutoff for next week’s meals is Thursday night at 11:59pm. Orders placed Friday or later will start the following week. If you’d like to start mid-week, you can email us at hello@westerlykitchen.com or call us at 1 (833) 537 - 2521.

Order next week's meals by Thursday at 11:59pm. If you sign up for our Subscription Plan during checkout you'll receive 5% off every week. You can skip, pause, or change your plan anytime.

We offer 3, 4, and 5 day plans, so you don't have to order for every day.

We offer a brand new menu each week, with a set Chef's Menu for every meal. You can see the upcoming menu on the "Next Week's Menu" tab. We do accommodate allergies and dislikes, which you can list in the notes during checkout.

Our Dinner + Dinner or Dinner + Dinner + Dinner plans mean that you will receive multiple single servings of each dinner. For example, if you order Dinner + Dinner you will recieve 2 servings of dinners, which would be perfect for 2 people. 

Delivery

There is no added cost for delivery.

We deliver Sundays (with meals for Mon, Tues & Wed) and Wednesdays (with meals for Thur & Fri). Your delivery will arrive between 11:30a - 9:30p both days.

Deliveries arrive between 11:30a - 9:30p on Sunday & Wednesday. The ice packs will keep your meals cold throughout the delivery time frame. Bring your cooler inside, put your containers in the fridge, and set your cooler bag and ice packs back out on the porch. We’ll pick it up when we make your next delivery, or you can schedule a cooler pickup.

Yes! You will receive an automated text from us when your delivery is about 30 minutes away (subject to change based on traffic/delivery delays). You will also receive another automated text once your order has been delivered. 

No! We offer contact-free delivery, so you don't need to be home. Your meals are delivered in a reusable cooler bag with ice packs that will keep your meals cool throughout our delivery time frame.

Yes! Please include detailed instructions in the notes section at checkout on how to access your building (ie building codes, access keys, who to buzz on callbox, etc.)

We offer our Westerly meal delivery services in most of King County and the Greater Seattle Area. Currently we deliver to Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds, Shoreline, Seattle, Tukwila, Burien, Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville, Redmond, and Issaquah. The cooler bag and ice packs belong to our Westerly kitchen, and we re-use them over 20 times to prevent waste. Keep the ice packs in the cooler bag and set out on your porch before your next delivery. We’ll pick up the bag and replace it with your next set of meals. If you don’t have any upcoming deliveries scheduled, email us at hello@westerlykitchen.com and we’ll add you to the pickup schedule on the next Sunday or Wednesday delivery day. Bags not returned within 1 month of your last delivery will incur a $20 cooler bag fee.
